



At The Greene School, our Artists-in-Residence program brings professional expertise directly into the classroom, giving students a unique opportunity to learn from practicing artists in the performing arts. These artists work alongside our faculty to provide personalized mentorship based on the needs and interests of our student population. In high school, the program allows students to refine their focus and deepen their skills in a specific area of the performing arts—whether that’s mastering an instrument like the French horn or developing their craft in Shakespearean performance.

Our Music Artist-in-Residence enchace student's learning by sharing their professional experience in performance, composition, and music theory. These artists work closely with our student musicians in classes and rehearsals, offering individualized guidance and inspiration. By participating in workshops and collaborative projects led by these visiting artists, students gain not only technical skill but also a greater appreciation for creativity and expression, fostering a vibrant and dynamic music program at The Greene School.

Anttuan was born in Havana, Cuba, and began studying piano at age five and cello at eight at the Conservatory of Music Guillermo Tomás. A versatile soloist and chamber musician, he has performed across classical, traditional, and popular genres, winning multiple competitions and collaborating with renowned artists such as Johannes Moser and Rafael Figueroa. He made his solo orchestral debut at seventeen through the Havana Classical Music Festival and Volta Music Foundation. A graduate of Lynn University with a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance, Anttuan is now pursuing his Master’s there. In addition to performing, he is a dedicated educator, teaching and mentoring young musicians throughout South Florida.

Venezuelan trombonist and composer Miguelangel Garcia began his musical training in "El Sistema" and later won a position with the National Youth Orchestra of Venezuela. An award-winning performer, he won the Lynn Conservatory Concerto Competition and has placed in the top ranks of several international film music competitions, including the Berlin International Film Music Competition. He holds a bachelor's degree in trombone performance and is currently a first-year master's student in music composition at the Lynn Conservatory of Music.

Joseph Muhl is a French horn player hailing from Akron, Ohio. An experienced orchestral and chamber musician, Muhl enjoys playing in a wide range of musical settings. Receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, he owes his upbringing in professional horn playing to primary teachers Denise Tryon, Elizabeth Freimuth, and Dr. Margaret Tung. Since moving to South Florida to pursue his master’s degree at the Lynn Conservatory, Joseph studies with Gregory Miller and is an active freelance horn player in the area. As a teacher, Muhl enjoys giving private lessons and coaching horn sections for high school bands.
In the Drama program, our resident artists collaborate with students on all aspects of theatrical performance, from acting techniques and stage direction to script interpretation and production. Our current Artist-in-Residence is working with high school students on their upcoming production of Too Many Detectives at the Murder Mansion, offering professional guidance throughout the rehearsal and creative process. By working one-on-one with professionals in the field, students build confidence, strengthen their expressive abilities, and learn what it takes to bring a story to life. These mentorships not only enrich our drama curriculum but also help students discover their individual artistic voices and pathways in the performing arts.

Jenna McCoy is a South Florida native performing and teaching artist. She recently graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a BFA in Theatre. She has choreographed/directed professionally the past few years for Kids Theatre Kamp, The Maltz Jupiter Theatre Conservatory, PBA Preparatory Theatre and Dance, and various dance studios in south Florida. She has also performed in multiple Maltz MainStage Productions and worked alongside Broadway performers and directors. Previous stage credits include The Lightning Thief (Annabeth Chase), Eurydice (Little Stone), and Into The Woods (Lucinda).
