Athletics Philosophy

The Greene School Athletics department would like to welcome you to an exhilarating sporting school year. We invite you to be part of our Team Greene family as a student-athlete or as a passionate supporter.

Our athletics philosophy is all about hard work, determination, commitment, student-athlete development, character building, learning lifelong skills, and most importantly having fun!

The Greene School Athletics teach students much more than specific sport skills and strategies. Student-athletes learn to take risks, develop leadership skills, and strengthen positive social skills. Overall, they will become stronger both mentally and physically.

Our entire school community is very enthusiastic about the potential of our student-athletes and their bright future. We would like to say a huge thank-you to all of our fans and pay recognition for the amazing support! We hope to see you at our future sporting events cheering on the team. #TeamGreene

Cross Country - Students in fourth grade and higher can join the cross country team. Training takes place daily during the season, with runs ranging from 1 to 2.5 miles along scenic Flagler Drive. The team competes in at least four meets per season, most of which take place at Cardinal Newman High School.

Tennis and Golf - The tennis and golf programs are off-campus, fee-based programs run by The Breakers. Transportation is provided from The Greene School campus to an off-site location. Parents/guardians are responsible for pick-up.

Basketball - Students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades can join The Greene School Celtics. This co-ed basketball team competes locally against other independent schools in the area.

Soccer - Coming 2019!
